With the LAN now less than two days away, we wanted to take this time to send out one last email update to let you know some of what is going on, remind you of a few important changes and give a shout out to our awesome sponsors who are supporting AWOL 21 with some awesome prizes!

--= NEW STUFF =--
AWOL 21 has some fun new stuff in store for you!

--AWOL After Hours--
AWOL is introducing a new feature to the overnight hours, AWOL After Hours. This is for anyone who just can't sleep or does not want to sleep but does not want to sit in front of their PC for a few hours.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Nomad Game Center we will have various board games set up in the party rooms.

As part of AWOL After Hours we will also be introducing a new non-PC tournament!

-- Friday Night Magic –
Thanks again to the generous sponsorship of Nomad Gaming Center we will have two Magic tournaments.

First is an 8 player limited draft which will have sign up on ALP at a specific time at the event.
Second will be a Mini-Masters tourney which we will have a limited number of -free- packs for to get you started

--= Some things you need to know =--
In case you have not been on the forums lately or missed a few events here are some things you might have missed.

-- Survival Kit Upgrade Cutoff –-
The cutoff for SK upgrades is Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:59pm.
If you have not upgraded by that time you will have to upgrade at the door.

Do not try to ninja upgrade by sending money via PayPal after the cutoff.
Outstanding PayPal invoices will be canceled after the cutoff.

-- Change to AWOL survival kits meals --
We have had some changes to the survival kits offered that are very different from what we have offered in the past. Please check the forum post linked below and read it carefully.

-- Seating chart changes --
As you probably noticed when you registered; we have changed the seating chart to help make it easier to navigate the room as well as giving more room for everyone. Something you may have not noticed is that all our tables are now 6’. This gives you exactly 3’ x 30” of space. Please keep this in mind when choosing what to bring to the LAN.

-- Official Tournament List & Rules --
The official tournament list and rules has been posted in the forums. Please go check it out so you and your team can get to practicing and strategizing.

--= Some things you may have forgotten =--
Here are some things you need to know when attending an AWOL LAN

-- Power --
One of the biggest things we have to watch for is power consumption. Please keep in mind that you are allotted 4amps of power and that roughly equates to 480watts. If your machines draws more than that you will likely cause a brownout on your circuit which is shared with up to 5 other people. That is bad…. Don’t be bad….

While we’re talking power, remember that you WILL need to bring your own power strip. We suggest a power strip with a surge suppressor but remember, do not bring UPS battery backups.

-- Network --
You are allotted one IP / network connection. Remember that as per our LAN FAQ’s, switches/routers are NOT allowed. Also, you do not need to bring your own Ethernet cable as you will have one available right at your seat.

-- Waiver --
Keep in mind that if you are 17 years old or younger you MUST bring with you to the event a properly filed out and signed waiver. You may be asked to provide ID upon check-in so if in doubt, bring a waiver.
