The meals included with Survival Kits for AWOL LAN have went through some upgrading from what was offered at past events. If the changes are not satisfactory, a refund for the Survival Kit upgrade price will be provided without penalty if requested by 2/3/2012. For those that did not purchase a Survival Kit because the meals in the past were lemons, look at the new offerings and see if they are worth a seat upgrade.

Instead of the seven deadly si...pre-scheduled meals picked by 'the man', the new meals are:

• Bottomless soda for 36 hours (this is available ala carte for $5 to those that downgrade or already have a standard seat)
• Friday breakfast (donuts, coffee, and juice beginning at 10am)
• Friday lunch (pizza served mess hall style)
• Saturday breakfast (Aqua Lounge buffet, as in a real buffet)
• A $25 Action City card that can be used to purchase food any time the Action City kitchen is open (the card replaces Friday dinner, Midnight 'snack,' Saturday lunch, and Saturday dinner)

OK, 'the man' still picked three of the meals, however the $25 action city card may be combined with others in case a group wants to split a Gorilla Pizza or may be used for Action City attractions. Instead of pancake-shaped beverage coasters for Brinner, you have the power to choose nachos and go-karts. Has dinner time come around and you are on a 50 frag streak or in the middle of a perfect run on the AWOL TrackMania track? You can eat later instead of when some lame duck calls suey.

If the additional choices and flexibility in the meals are not your bag, the cost of the Survival Kit above the base registration cost will be refunded without penalty or a night in the box if the request is received by 2/3/2012. However, that means you will have just a base seat without the other goodies that come with the Survival Kits.

To summerize, instead of 'the man' picking all your meals from a twisted list while wearing a blindfold and also dictating when you have to eat them because the 1v1 StarCraft II tournament must start precisely at 7:00 p.m. or else it won't be a fair tournament, you get Friday breakfast when you arrive, Friday pizza lunch (the only meal with a set time), Saturday breakfast (served 6am-9am) and a $25 Action City card for the freedom to eat or do what you want, when you want, how you want...like a boss.

We've officially sold out, and in record time! 1 hour short of 5 days! Thats right, 119 hours or a short 7140 minutes... or if you prefer, 428,400 seconds... but the fact is we just sold out 3 months in advance!

Since registration opened a little later this time around, anyone who registers between now (11/13/11, 6:00PM) and next Sunday (11/20/11, 11:59PM) will be given six (6) blue tickets, just as if they had registered back in August, since we know you would have if you could have, right? After next Sunday, things will go back to normal, with one (1) blue ticket being granted for each month you register in advance of the event.

PS: There's rumors floating around that a BIG prize is being looked into, so keep an eye out on the web page and forums – there might be an announce in the future!
