The AWOL staff has been working hard to get the August 2009 LAN under way. We've made some changes to help makes things run more smoothly. Most of our changes involve how you register for the LAN. We are no longer taking all registrations via the online registration form. This is now soley for those who will be paying through PayPal. Right now our only in town cash location will be Computer Wizards and they will register you when you pay so please do not fill out the online registration form unless you are paying with PayPal. This helps us streamline the registration process and ensures that you get the seat you want. The seating chart will be updated soon after you pay for your seat and we receive confirmation from PayPal, however, if you have any issues with the registration process, please let us know. If you are under 18 you will HAVE TO print out and have a parent/guardian sign the release form. Also, now everyone will be required to give a digital signature before they can register on the website. If you are under 18 please have your parent or legal guardian do this step of the registration. There are NO exceptions to this rule. Due to overfilling and turning many people away last LAN, we have expanded our seating capacity. We recommend signing up early as seats will move fast! We are also very happy to announce that Action City has opened their new water park, which will be available for $12/day if you want to cool off. (and believe me, our August LAN gets a little hot!) If you get a Survival Kit with a hotel room, the water park price per day is only $10. Survival Kits are back offering a great variety of items needed to survive 36 hours of gaming. There are a few choices depending on what you think you'll need. We had a wonderful turn out, in fact, we to turn some people away because we just didn’t have enough power. As always, our host, Action City, really went above our expectations. They have worked with us to make this event what it is today. If you get a chance, please say “Thank you” to Bennie, Jay and the rest of the Action City crew.
