/takes away defilers pc gamer card

You can have it back when you renounce your last statement.

The only good mac is a dead mac (reduced to a pile of slag is a good start).

It does everything that a pc does (for the most part). And it keeps things simple by offering standard configurations. Some people prefer expandability (myself included), but there's something to be said for simplicity as well. So then if its not a computer, then what would you call it?

A pile of shitty slag?

Your preachin to the wrong choir here man.

And for the record, i never said i was a computer lover. Im a PC lover cause it does what i want it to w/o adding visualization software or emulation.

What kind of expandability are you talking about here? Like adding new parts to make it better? Like... upgrading a video card?

I work with a Mac at work, i hate it. Its not simple or easier than a PC (granted, i dont have much training or experience with it, but they are marketed as being easy and they arent). I am the 'mac guy' now because nobody else wants to touch the stupid thing. I just want to melt it down, turn it into a statue of steve jobs and do nasty things to it.

As a side note, i don't think the article link above mentions this, but the valve games such as TF2, Half LIfe 2, L4D 1 and 2, etc. will run native code, not emulation. OpenGL is going to be utilized instead of DirectX...which also means possible linux client and games running natively...Also, game developers may* develop more titles with OpenGL

edit*
here is one link that touches on this (use the mighty interwebs for more):

So if Apple sponsored us and we gave away a new Mac, then NOBODY would even try to use it to game with? I would take it in a heartbeat.

... id ebay it. Actually id probably just request my ticket be put back in so someone else could get it that actually wants it.

I have 0 love for macs. hate um. I think that point has been processed.

Its too bad steam/valve didnt work on getting linux working instead of macs. I think there would be more people interested in that than stupid macs.

I'd use it for web surfing/ movie watching while playing other games on my real computer.

That being said Macs do have legitimate uses: Door stops, boat anchors (for heavier macs), skipping stones(macbook air) and things of that nature.

Think whatever you want but watching a movie in 1080P on a 27 inch display at 2560 x 1440 would be f**king awesome!

and by expandability, yes I meant the ability to change video cards, sound, etc. I prefer that and the Mac is rather limited in that dept.

IMO a mac is more like a digital picture frame the a Computer as it more closely shares features with a picture frame. Great for looking at pictures and video, and even has the ability to edit (to a certain degree) But anyway. just an opinion.
