Ok gang, As you all know we sold out this past Saturday. As we use pretty much every table Action City has for our event we were pretty limited on our options to add more tables.

Well, we had a sit down with Action City to talk about the sellout and the need to expand and they told us "If you bring them, we will seat them". So Action City is going to buy more tables to accommodate more players!

So at midnight tonight we will be adding 16 overflow seats (8x 6' tables) to the seating chart and registration will go live to fill those seats. Those of you who took advantage of the waiting list and paid will be seated before registration goes back live and the waiting list is not longer an option. Once we go live it will be first come first serve and once seats are sold out we will close registration again.

So if you missed out on grabbing your seat during the blitz here is your chance...

Are you guys at max capacity for the room?

I don't believe the room is full. There is alot more space behind the staff tables which i'm sure will be full at some point. Probably not this lan or even the next one, but someday we WILL have to have a lan that fills up that room completely. Then that AWOL will be epic! I mean, it's already going to be but we can always do better. :-)

And once that room is full, then what? :)

If we tweak the room layout a bit more we could probably fit another 6 to 8 tables, adding 12-16 seats. If we want to go bigger than that, we could use 6 foot tables instead of 8 foot tables, giving each person 3' of space instead of 4' (which is perfectly fine in my opinion). That would allow us to to put 4 people in the same space we currently fit 3, so it would increase capacity by roughly 33.3% (repeating of course). If we wanted to go completely crazy, we could start putting 3 people on each 8' table. This would increase the capacity of the sections with 8' tables by 50%. I've been to lans set up like this and it's do-able, but I don't recommend it.

The other option is to set up a section in another room at the facility and run a fat pipe between them.

Which makes management a little interesting.

GOAT has brought back the LAN Party noise that has been missing for a long time. Everyone is far to quiet.

It's not study hall, it's a frag fest! There should be noise, smack talk and some clan/team pride.

If the GOAT moved to a different room, I think I would follow.

Hmm my smack talk was pretty interesting during the last LAN. I kept forgetting that there were kids there so my talk was filled with half-swears and ridiculous flim flammery words.
