This LAN has came and gone, but it sure was a memorable one!

We had a few bumps, but overall we think things went well. Even without internet for half of the first day, almost everyone had a great time, some even said they had more fun without it. It showed what a LAN party should be, friends and gamers coming together to have a great time.

The staff would like to thank a couple of people and companies.

First off, Action City. We can not say enough about these guys. Benny, Jay, Rich, Amanda, and everyone else at AC have been absolutely wonderful. AWOL has really hit the jackpot with having such a gracious and eager venue. Everything from power to food. Benny and his crew makes sure that we are well taken care of.

Second, Charter. During this LAN we were without internet for a time during the first day. We had 2 Charter techs out that did not leave until we were taken care of. That is what I call customer service.

MyGSN. We had this sponsor thanks to Duck. John from MyGSN was thrilled to be at our event and he brought with him one hell of a prize. The touch screen computer. John is a wonderful person who really enjoys helping the gaming community and we were thrilled to have him as a sponsor and look forward to working with MyGSN for future events.

You guys and gals. Let's face it, without you, we're nothing. You showed, once again, that gamers are far from the stereotype. Respecting and honoring a gamer that is no longer with us, being patient while the staff worked on getting the internet going. You found other ways to have a good time. (Another huge thank you to Benny for assisting with this, unlimited arcade games, how cool is that?!?)

Overall, we think the LAN was great success. The staff has already begun planning for the next one, and planning how to avoid the few bumps we had.

Thank you to everyone for making this LAN a great time, and for making AWOL LAN what it is today.
