I seen some people running what looked like a missile simulator, is that a free to play game?

It is not free, so to say. Most everyone who had it at the LAN got the paid version, but didn't pay for it. Someone brought a paid version and gave that to everyone who was playing it.

Hmm, I don't think that's completely accurate. There was someone who was sharing a paid version, but there were a bunch of people still just playing the demo despite that. I can't speak for anybody else, but I bought the full version at the lan.

Just my 2 bits.
